Working Hours: Full time, permanent, 4-shift continental rotation (6-6) Job Description: As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, installation, and commissioning of plant and equipment within a dynamic environment. You will play a key role in troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues, ensuring that all safety protocols are strictly followed. Working closely with a team of engineers, you will support both proactive and reactive maintenance, helping to optimize performance and contribute to continuous improvement efforts across the site. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining plant equipment (both breakdowns and preventative maintenance)
  • Systematically diagnosing electrical failures and ensuring timely resolutions
  • Collaborating with colleagues to identify root causes and prevent future issues
  • Communicating effectively with team members and handing over work at the end of shifts
  • Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines and contributing to safety improvements
As a Maintenance Technician, you will also be involved in cross-functional projects and training to expand your skillset, with opportunities to work across multiple engineering disciplines. Skills & Experience: The ideal candidate for the Maintenance Technician role will have:
  • A qualification in Electrical Engineering (ONC/OND/HND/HNC/NVQ III or equivalent)
  • Experience in electrical fault finding and heavy engineering maintenance
  • Familiarity with AC/DC motors, single and three-phase supplies
  • The ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
Additional skills that would be advantageous include experience with PLCs, HV switching, and crane maintenance, though these are not essential. Why Should You Apply?
