We are excited to offer the opportunity to join Manchester Foundation Trust (MFT) as a Team Leader for a 12 months fixed term contract for Maternity Leave cover.


We are looking for a dynamic, innovative and highly motivated registered practitioner (Nurse or ODP) with excellent clinical knowledge in Scrub to join our team and take a leading role. You will be enthusiastic, motivated, flexible, proactive and willing to learn new skills.


In particular, you should have proven experience in working and leading a variety of surgical specialties' on a daily basis.

The department consists of 2 theatres carrying out elective Urology and urgent Trauma cases. Plus a dedicated Endoscopy room, Recovery area and Decontamination suite. As a B6 Scrub Practitioner you would:


Act as the Team Leader and take direct responsibility for the day to day management of a clinical area.


Provide expert, patient focused care in the perioperative setting in accordance with Trust policies and Standard Operating Procedures.


Support and educate colleagues including student nurses and Operating Department Practitioners, medical students and junior medical colleagues. Facilitate the Annual Development and Review process for an identified group of colleagues.
