We are looking to recruit Trainee Patent Attorneys to join our friendly teams in our Birmingham, Liverpool, and London offices. If successful, you will join Forresters’ thriving Technology & Engineering group and will train in handling all aspects of patent and design work. You will assist in protecting inventions across a wide variety of subject areas, which may include mechanical, electronics, software, and cleantech-related technologies.
On-the-job training will be given by partners and other fully qualified senior attorneys, as well as through external training courses, in order for you to become a fully-qualified UK and European Patent Attorney.
You must have a 2:1 degree or above in a science or engineering discipline. Degrees typically considered suitable for the role are physics, mechanical engineering, materials science or computer science, for example. You must possess a commitment to quality and attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Autumn 2025, interviews will take place in January 2025.
