A Central London based PR agency is hiring for an Associate PR Director to head up their sports division. Managing a team of 2 and reporting directly into the Managing Director, this role will be responsible for contributing to the continued growth of the sports division and managing or overseeing all sports publicity campaigns and touchpoints for some amazing sports brands, teams and talent.

Duties

  • Active role in growing the sports division's client base
  • Manage and steer a variety of campaigns across events, brands and talent within the Sports and popular culture
  • Managing your own campaigns - from pitching to media outlets across press, broadcast and podcasts, to motivating team members and preemptive strikes when it comes to client needs.
  • Close liaison with key contacts, building and maintaining good relationships
  • Take ownership of identifying, pursuing and converting new business opportunities for the department
  • Line manage and develop other members of the team, and manage the resource across all Sports clients

The candidate

  • Minimum of 6+ years' experience managing PR and comms for Sports clients
  • Confident to work with established Sports brands and talent
  • A thorough knowledge of the current media and Sports industry landscape
  • Excellent media contacts across national, lifestyle press as well as core Sports media, national TV and Radio and podcasts, trade/industry
