Job Title: 1:1 Educational Support Assistant Location: Normanton Type: Full-Time Duration: Longer Term Salary: £425 - £500 per week Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Educational Support Assistant with a focus on Autism to join one of our primary schools ASAP or from September. This is a full-time position with the potential for a longer-term/permanent commitment. If you are passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with Autism and have experience or a strong interest in special education, we encourage you to apply. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one support and assistance to a student with Autism, helping them engage with their learning activities. Implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and tailored strategies to support the student's educational and behavioural needs. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment to encourage the student's development. Collaborate with teachers and specialists to adapt curriculum materials and ensure the student's academic progress. Offer emotional and social support to help the student build self-confidence and interpersonal skills. Document and communicate the student's progress and challenges to the educational team and parents/guardians. Assist in managing any behavioural or sensory challenges effectively and safely.Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience working with children or individuals with Autism is preferred, but not essential. A passion for working in the field of special education and a strong desire to make a difference in the lives of children. Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills. The ability to adapt and think creatively to support the individual needs of the student. A proactive, positive, and collaborative attitude.
