Hays Education have recently seen an increased need for local Humanities Teachers in Schools across Northamptonshire for day-to-day and long-term supply with the potential for permanent contracts.
Here at Hays, we work with a number of schools across Northamptonshire, covering the areas of Northampton, Corby, Kettering, Wellingborough, Rushden, Daventry, Towcester, Brackley and all the in between This means as a Teacher working through Hays you will have local work in your local area covering schools that only you want to work in.
We are currently recruiting on behalf of a Northampton Secondary School that is passionate about celebrating student differences and their passion, spirit and potential. The school looks to support its students in not only their academic progression, but also their holistic school experience, and providing them with opportunities to explore their passions.

Your new role
We are currently recruiting for a full time Humanities Teacher to join the team ASAP until the end of the academic year. We are looking for exceptional people who thrive in supportive and aspirational environments to work with the schools exceptional pupils.
The appointed person will be expected to make a real and positive impact to the academic progression of KS3, KS4 and KS5 students. You will be able to successfully build trusting student relationships and motivate and encourage student(s) as required by providing levels of individual attention, reassurance and help learning tasks.
You will be responsible for planning exciting and interesting lessons to engage pupils in their learning. You must be able to passionately deliver your lessons with enthusiasm and be able to drive pupils to achieve their full potential.
On a long-term supply basis you will be required to fulfil an active teaching role including planning, marking and assessment, PPA time will be included.

What you'll need to succeed
The appointed candidate will have full Qualified Teaching Status and be familiar with the current curriculum changes. Experience teaching at KS5 is beneficial. Hays Education welcomes applications from ECT’s and experienced Teachers
You will have a real passion for using your teaching to make a difference to the school as well as pupils’ education through providing high quality lessons and support. You must have a flexible attitude and be adaptable to timetable changes.
