Job Description

Electrical Design Engineer

South Somerset

£35-45000 DOE + Bonus + Company Pension Plan

Electrical Design Engineer required for an industry leading electrical manufacturer based in South Somerset.

As an experienced Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be responsible for innovative design for both stock and bespoke products. You'll be a valued member of the design team that manages electrical design, maintains a drawing register and offers technical support to the sales team. In addition to excellence in electrical design, you will also be responsible for occasional site surveys and fault finding for clients and customers.

The Role:

  • Design, update and refine technical drawings before approving for production
  • Test and configure electrical products
  • Provide technical support to external clients and colleagues
  • Prepare reports and surveys for clients and customers
  • Create technical documents for all designed products

The Person:

  • Proficient with CAD design software (AutoCAD preferable)
  • Recognised electrical qualification
  • Previous experience in control panel design
  • Open to flexible working hours and able to travel
