Job Title: Payroll Officer

Location: Paddock Wood, Kent

Contract Details: Temporary - 6 months

Salary: Hourly rate from £13 - £16ph

Working Pattern: Part Time, 17.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

As a Payroll Officer, you will work closely with the Head of UK HR and the HR team to ensure accurate and timely payment for all employees. Your main responsibilities will include:
  • Handling 2 monthly payrolls for different employee groups
  • Utilising the ADP system for both hourly paid and salaried personnel
  • Liaising with Payroll bureaus for European employees
  • Managing HMRC-related payroll requirements and staying updated on legislative/statutory changes
  • Administering employee benefits, such as My Benefits/Bupa Cash plan/Bupa medical/Life assurance/Death in Service and Aviva pension
  • Working with salary data providers and utilising the Hay evaluation system for grading employees
  • Managing the ADP payroll provider software for various administrative tasks
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

  • Strong planning and organisational skills
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Excellent listening and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team and provide outstanding customer service
  • Proficient in information research and problem identification
  • Targeted thinking and acting with analytical capabilities
  • Proactive approach with a strong sense of commitment and responsibility
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
  • Familiarity with ADP software
  • HRIS experience
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation
