Exciting Opportunity: Project Manager - Retail/POS

Location: Hertfordshire - Onsite 5 days/week (some international travel required)

In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, driving complex, large-scale implementation projects that deliver real impact. Your mission? To foster long-term customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention by ensuring every project exceeds expectations.

You’ll need a solid technical foundation, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams and leadership levels worldwide. If you have extensive experience in the retail sector and thrive on discussing project requirements and technology solutions, this role is tailor-made for you.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Delivery:

  • Lead high-impact projects from concept to completion, ensuring stellar outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and client teams to shape innovative project strategies.
  • Develop and standardize project approaches across a variety of clients.

2. Stakeholder Management & Communication:

  • Cultivate and manage key customer relationships, ensuring clear communication at all levels.
  • Influence and guide customer teams, including senior leadership, to align with project goals.
  • Navigate and maintain positive relationships in challenging, cross-cultural environments.

3. Financial & Contract Management:

  • Serve as the primary contact for all financial and contractual matters.
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet contractual obligations while managing budgets effectively.
  • Oversee financial aspects, from invoice approvals to comprehensive financial reporting.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Minimum of 5 years in a delivery-focused role within a complex retail environment (e.g., Project/Programme Manager).
  • Deep understanding of retail operations, preferably with POS systems experience.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management expertise.
