Embrace Talent is delighted to be partnering exclusively with Babcock Land Sector to support them in their search for a Procurement and Supply Chain Director. This prominent senior position is a direct replacement opportunity that has arisen due to an internal promotion.

About the role: Reporting to the Global Director of Procurement & Supply Chain for Babcock and, operationally, to the Chief Executive of the land sector, you will be a core member of both the P&SC leadership team for Babcock and the leadership team for the land sector. Your role will be to ensure that P&SC resources are directed and focused on the delivery of customer contracts while demonstrating collaboration and support for P&SC Functional transformation activities in your area of responsibility

Main tasks

  • Ensure appropriate focus, priority, and resource are applied to contract delivery across the sector.
  • communication and reporting of sector performance and results, for internal and external audiences, utilising established tools, systems, and processes for managing key performance indicators (KPIs) and approved benefits.
  • managing, and optimising the functional budget for the Land Sector; in both Labour and non-Labour categories.
  • Sector and functional talent management activities; ensuring that staff retention and development is evident and that the functional organisations are aligned to Babcock's Role Framework.
  • participate in the development, evaluation, and communication of the functional strategy and vision in collaboration with other members of the Leadership Team, while ensuring that the land P&SC team is engaged and in support of the agreed-upon strategies.
  • of specific Projects and Programmes as required by the global director P&SC or land sector CEO.

Role Scope : Management of a team of over 300 people, including nine senior direct reports, with a spend of circa £600 million pa.

Skills and Attributes: You will possess exceptional communication skills and be a proficient, flexible, and credible leader capable of engaging effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. You will demonstrate emotional intelligence, resilience, and great leadership abilities. You will also have current or previous leadership experience within a similar sized organisation.

In addition, applicants will either hold or have the ability to obtain SC security clearance.
