Our M&E cost management team is expanding and we have an opportunity for someone with ambition, a strong understanding of cost management, and experience in mechanical engineering projects to join us. If you are ready to progress your career with a close-knit, dynamic team supporting your development, this role is an ideal next step in your career. You will be working on varied projects across many industry sectors including data centres, OFCI, commercial fit-outs, refurbishments including historical buildings, educational projects and everything in between. Our clients are mostly based in the UK ranging in value in excess of £150m for our MEP service. What you need to do to be effective in this role Perform quantity take-offs for lighting, containment, pipework, ductwork, etc., with minimal supervision. Review and cost variations, with guidance as needed. Source and obtain pricing for plant items, liaising with suppliers and ensuring timely follow-ups. Assist in reviewing valuation submissions from contractors, including conducting site visits. Maintain accurate cost logs, ensuring all relevant updates from emails and meetings are recorded promptly. Support cost reporting and financial analysis. Contribute to cost planning across all RIBA stages. The skills and experience you need to have for this role BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent MEP QS experience is required and must be clearly stated in your application and will be discussed / evidenced at interview Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage at all levels A proactive and collaborative work ethic, supporting teams across the business to meet deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), Bluebeam, and CostX
