Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Python Team Lead to join our clients dynamic team in London. As a Python Team Lead, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of talented developers, driving the development of innovative solutions, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products in the fast-paced FMCG industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Python developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and expertise in Python development, ensuring best practices and coding standards are followed.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and efficient software solutions.
  • Code Review: Conduct regular code reviews to maintain code quality and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance team productivity and software quality.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including product managers, designers, and other development teams, to ensure alignment on project goals and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Python development, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and related frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask), experience with RESTful APIs, and familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, JIRA).
