Environment Manager

£We are pleased to have been engaged by a market leader in the food manufacturing industry, to recruit an Environment Manager for one of their major manufacturing sites. The role will be responsible for managing all Environment and Sustainability targets and initiatives for the site, and will play an important role across the wider business.
Responsibilities of the Environment Manager will include:
Developing and driving the site environmental strategy, driving this forward across both the site and group, influencing decision making and best practice
Managing and monitoring the working environment, ensuring compliance with legislation, including ISO14001 and ISO50001
Providing technical support for the Wastewater Treatment Plant, acting as the main point of contact for the site, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders
Proactively seeking out areas for improvement, working with senior management to continually improve site culture, and provide training where required
The successful Environment Manager will have:
Demonstrable environmental and sustainability experience ideally within FMCG, manufacturing, or related sectors
Ideally qualified to degree level, or equivalent, in an appropriate environmental discipline, and ideally hold a professional membership with a recognised environmental body (IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM)
