This post is a fixed term/secondment for 30 months to meet the needs of the service.
As a proactive and positive member of the team, the post holder will play a key role in supporting the development and implementation of key transformation project objectives which will enable and support the vital work of Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board (CTMUHB).
Candidates will be expected to have experience of managing technical and clinical digital transformation projects within a healthcare environment. Skills including excellent engagement and stakeholder management, leadership and the successful management project and directorate resources contributing to project delivery. In particular, the post holder will have specific project management responsibilities, often working within tight timescales and competing demands.

- Educated to Degree Level plus in-depth specialist knowledge of NHS ICT procedures acquired through both professional qualifications and experience.
- Project management, preferably within an NHS environment, including formal PRINCE 2 project management qualifications or an appropriate Post Graduate Diploma or training and experience in project and staff management to its equivalency.
- MSc
- Demonstrable experience of working in a complex change environment, with multiple stakeholders and securing their engagement to deliver change.
- Experience of influencing staff at all levels to ensure that all members of the team including users and stakeholders own project objectives.
- Experience of working across organisational boundaries to achieve results.
- Detailed knowledge of the NHS & implementation of projects in a hospital environment.
- Experience in Requirements Gathering.
- Experience of organising training for projects.
- Ability to communicate confidently with staff at all levels.
- Must have excellent presentation and report writing skills.
- Skilled in negotiation and influencing techniques including the ability to challenge other's positions constructively.
- Able to collect, collate multi-stranded data from a variety of sources.
- Regularly analysing highly complex and detailed information.
- Proven strong organisational, project management and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritise workload of others while balancing own workload(s).
- Practical experience of applying and adapting Prince2 techniques.
- Using strong proven capability with MS Office applications including Excel & PowerPoint.
- Proficient in the use of MS Project or an equivalent tool.
- Experience of using judgement in projects to differentiate between critical path tasks and non-critical.
- Proven ability in sifting through information provided by technical staff, managerial staff and suppliers to extract the important criteria for successful outcomes in managing a project.
- Proven ability to engage all stakeholders and include the right tasks in the work breakdown structure of a project plan.
- Use of MS Visio or equivalent experience of business analysis.
- Self-starter able to work without direct supervision.
- Able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
- Meticulous with attention to detail, particularly in relation to documentation.
