What will I be doing?

Imagine a role where your passion for sustainability translates into tangible results for Travel Chapter, our homeowners, and the communities in which we operate. As Head of Sustainability, you'll be the driving force behind our ambitious CSR and ESG goals. Partnering with inspiring organisations like the RSPB, you'll craft a roadmap that weaves sustainability into every aspect of our business – from operations to guest experiences.

As part of your everyday role, you’re likely to be involved in the following:

  • Shaping the future: collaborate with the Senior Management Team to develop a groundbreaking CSR and ESG roadmap, encompassing our sustainability journey, homeowner practices, and guest experiences.
  • Championing partnerships: forge and nurture impactful collaborations with organisations like the RSPB, pushing the boundaries of responsible tourism together.
  • Leading the charge: set, own and improve company-wide sustainability policies, ensuring responsible practices in areas like travel, procurement, and recycling.
  • Engaging hearts and minds: drive employee engagement with sustainability initiatives through creative campaigns and impactful partnerships. Own and curate our impact report, showcasing the positive change we're making.
  • Building bridges: work closely with owner and guest experience teams to communicate key partnerships and initiatives, fostering a culture of shared responsibility.
  • Innovati ng through action: lead and develop a dynamic team, fostering a hands-on approach to drive impactful results.

Ideally, we’re looking for:

  • Qualifications through experience or professional training in sustainability/CSR/ESG.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire.
  • A proven track record of leading and developing a team, fostering a can-do attitude.
  • A commercial mindset to translate sustainability initiatives into tangible business benefits.
  • A willingness to travel throughout the UK, connecting with our destinations and regional offices.
