Hours of work are 20 hours per week, which whilst times are flexible, we need someone who can work every day, Monday to Friday this could be ideal for a parent wishing to work school hours.

This is a pivotal role in the company, giving you the opportunity to work with professional businesses, whilst assisting them with the running and maintenance of their individual accounts.

You will require:

  • Experience within a credit control/financial position. AAT levels (2 or 3) would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
  • Proficiency and competency within the MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience with SAP would be desirable but not vital as full training would be given.
  • Strong organisational skills with diligence and attention to detail; have the willingness to be adaptable, multi-task and be flexible to meet business needs.
  • A personable nature with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written with clients and fellow colleagues.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work collaboratively with and build strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Awareness of technical and food safety requirements within the UK would be useful.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Managing credit control including the supervision of accounts receivable, and account reconciliation.
  • Process monthly statement run to all debtors, including following up on aged debtor accounts in a timely manner.
  • Input new customer accounts into SAP, including terms of trade and the management of credit insurance cover for all customers.
  • Investigate and resolve accounting queries, raising credit notes/debit notes in support of authorised customer claims.
