Global Broadcast Engineering provides technological infrastructure and operational support to for the company’s global linear playout platform to ensure our global audiences can enjoy Warner Bros. Discovery’s programming around the world and across platforms. Warner Bros. Global Broadcast Engineering is building technology and systems that meet world class standards for which Warner Bros. Discovery is known. We provide 24/7 support for the Global Broadcast Operations team and fulfill business needs through constant innovation. We have personnel in Sterling, VA, Atlanta, GA and London, UK.

The role requires strong technical understanding and the application of new technology to meet our business objectives. The successful candidate will be able to effectively position new technology to achieve business goals, ensuring Warner Bros. Discovery is aligned to global standards to maximize our efficiencies and leverage economies of scale – while also driving innovation where opportunity is present. The Sr Systems Solutions Architect role will spearhead, organize, and maintain many of Warner Bros. Discovery’s highest priority and cutting-edge technical initiatives.

Your Role Accountabilities…
• Alignment of technology roadmaps with different business units and technology teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to complete requests in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform well in a high-pressure environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Work with a team of engineers and operators in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and address critical problems through to resolution.
• Travel may be required.
• Other job duties, responsibilities, and project assignments as necessary.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.

Qualifications & Experiences…
• BA/BS in IT, Engineering or similar technical degree or equivalent TV & Media industry experience.
• Understanding of video and audio signals and standards.
• Strong skills with network protocols, standards, and policies.
• Basic understanding of AWS architectures and methodologies.
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude with ability to lead and handle high volume projects.
• Superior organizational skills with a high degree of flexibility, attention to detail, and ability to respond to changing priorities, timelines, and deadlines.
• Self-learner, independent, with outstanding problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize effectively.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
