Job Description

Mid-Level C++ Developer

Essential Functions:

As a Mid-Level C++ Developer, you will play a pivotal role in managing development tasks, ensuring the quality of code, and driving technical improvements within our team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing development tasks for both yourself and junior developers, ensuring timely updates within scrum boards.
  • Ensuring all deliverables align with plans and specifications, maintaining a high standard of quality.
  • Conducting peer reviews of fellow developers' code to uphold development standards.
  • Generating technical designs to meet business requirements effectively.
  • Championing technical improvements and enhancing product quality.
  • Collaborating with product and development managers to shape the product roadmap.
  • Upholding software security standards by staying updated and implementing best practices.
  • Assisting the support team in investigating and resolving issues as needed.

Essential Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proficient in C/C++ (v17).
  • Experience with Jenkins or similar build tools.
  • Strong grasp of API design principles using SOAP and REST.
  • Familiarity with networking concepts.
  • Comfortable working across multiple platforms: Windows, Linux, and Web Platforms.
  • Solid understanding of concurrency, scalability, and fault-tolerant designs for real-time systems.
  • Proficient in debugging and problem diagnostics.
  • Experience with source control systems, especially GIT.
  • Familiarity with automated testing techniques.
  • Proficient in Linux operating system usage.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge of relational database management systems, ideally Oracle and/or SQL Server.
  • Experience with Node.js.
  • Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
  • Exposure to AWS or other cloud environments.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with web development frameworks such as React and Angular.
  • Experience with scripting languages like Perl or Groovy.
