We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Officer to join our Workforce Development Team

Have you the drive, creativity, and knowledgeto help design, produce and execute learning and development throughout Potens?

As Learning & Development Officer, you will lead the ongoing review and development of the organisations training programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and compliance reporting. You will ensure our staff teams have access to the best possible learning and development opportunities, so that they can provide the best care, support, and education to the people we support.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and providing insight based on MI training reports and sharing in a meaningful way with the Operation and Senior Leadership Team
  • Developing, maintaining, and promoting Potens learning and development policies & procedures
  • Building positive relationships, sourcing value for money training with external training providers, and attending SLA review meetings as required
  • Promoting pre course learning objectives and ensuring course reflective evaluations are routinely completed, so a programme of continual improvement is upheld
  • Working closely with our training coordinator and Managers to ensure a baseline understanding of every service / department and compliance
  • Ensuring Potens induction programmes and probation procedures for all new starters are developed and in line with company needs
  • Sourcing subject matter where needed and creating and delivering training materials to address specific business objectives
  • Responsible for the company Learning Management System

Who you are:

  • An L&D professional, Health & Social care experience advantageous
  • Able to work independently, multitask, organise, and prioritise work to strict deadlines
  • Exceptional at building relationships and influencing at all levels, internal and external
  • Effective line management skills, building capability through excellent leadership
  • Quick learner, hands on, willing to be flexible in tasks and activities
  • Ability to execute and deliver, whilst keeping a positive attitude under pressure
