The Head of Brand Marketing will join our Senior Management team. Leading a small team, will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and increase market share. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading a talented team and collaborating with cross-functional departments to achieve business objectives:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with the company’s business goals
- Identify market opportunities, consumer trends, and competitive insights to inform strategic decisions.
Brand Management:
- Enhance and maintain each individual brand identity within the portfolio, ensuring consistency across all marketing channels
- Oversee the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, across the 360-marketing mix
- Lead a brand identity upgrade work (in partnership with creative agency) and packaging upgrade across all portfolio.
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support professional development.
Digital Marketing:
- Partner with Head of E-Commerce to drive digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, email marketing, and content marketing
- Utilize data analytics to measure campaign performance, optimize strategies, and report on ROI
Product Launches:
- Plan and execute successful product launches
- Develop go-to-market strategies, including pricing, positioning, and promotional activities.
Customer Engagement:
- Enhance customer experience through targeted marketing efforts across the channels (predominantly focused on digital marketing)
- Leverage customer feedback and insights to continuously improve marketing efforts.
Partnerships and Collaborations:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with industry influencers, media outlets, and other stakeholders
- Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors to ensure high-quality deliverables.
We’re looking for people who hold a degree in marketing, business or related field and who have proven experience within a senior marketing role, preferably within consumer goods or horticultural industry. To be successful you will also evidence strong leaderships skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams and demonstrate:
- Practical knowledge and experience of digital marketing, including social media and content marketing
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking with a passion for gardening and a deep understanding of the Mr Fothergill's brand ethos.
