If you are an experienced Fitter, this is an ideal opportunity to get into the rail industry working for a rapidly expanding Rail company based in Rail. They are currently seeking Wagon Fitters to join them on a permanent basis. As a Wagon Fitter you will be working on a day shift, Monday to Friday on a salary of £30100. As a Wagon fitter you will be carrying out mechanical tasks on a fleet of wagons, these tasks include such things as:

  • Assessing the condition of the Wagons.
  • Brake Testing
  • Wheel Changes
  • Hopper Door maintenance and repairs
  • Removal of Panels
  • Repairs of Fasteners using the specific tooling
We are looking for fitters who have a mechanical background and have experience of working on some form of fleet/vehicles. These roles are open to individuals from an ex-military, REME, engineering and manufacturing background looking to start a career within the rail industry.
