Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer Salary: £36,500 rising to £37,500 following successful completion of probation period (this includes shift allowance). Plus, you will receive a bonus.

Acorn by Synergie is currently seeking an Electrical Shift Maintenance Engineer on behalf of their client to work as part of a multi-skilled team. The role involves carrying out PPM activities alongside reactive maintenance activities in a busy manufacturing environment.

Shift Pattern: 15 shift pattern of 8-hour shifts Monday to Friday. You'll work a week of days 7am-3pm, a week of backs 3pm-11pm, and a week of nights 11pm-7am.

What you will need:

  1. Capable of working alongside a group of multiskilled engineers, but also independently when required.
  2. Qualified electrician with a relevant electrical Level 3 qualification (NVQ, ONC, BTEC etc); 18th Edition and basic mechanical knowledge are advantageous.
  3. Experience with low voltage electrical systems, drives, and PLC's.
  4. Ability to fault find within electrical systems and root cause failure analyses.
  5. Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (SAP PM experience would be ideal).

What you will do:

  1. Maintain maximum efficiency of machinery while upholding the highest Health & Safety standards.
  2. Prepare and carry out electrical maintenance activities across the plant.
  3. Troubleshoot relay control circuits.
  4. Record all engineering activities (preventive, corrective, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance) using the site MMS.
  5. Work with different types of drives, AC/DC motors, and basic PLC fault finding.
  6. Interpret electrical drawings.
  7. Contribute to decreasing the total life cycle cost of assets and the cost of maintenance.
  8. Maintain all assets within designated areas of responsibility to high engineering standards.
  9. Identify and implement plant area improvement activities supporting continuous improvement of plant availability, safety, environment, and asset performance.
