Technical Consultant Location | UK (Hybrid) Permanent NC112 Finatal is partnered with a global technology-led services business undergoing significant growth as it scales its product and engineering capability across key business ventures. This organisation empowers its customers to thrive in an ever-changing world through innovative, data-driven and AI-enabled solutions, and now seeks a Technical Consultant to sit at the heart of product, engineering, and the business. This is a high-impact role for a senior technologist who can blend solution architecture, presales, and stakeholder engagement to shape technology direction for a critical business unit. The role Act as the strategic technology liaison for a defined business venture, serving as the primary contact between the business and Product & Engineering. Translate business objectives into a clear technology roadmap, identifying opportunities for automation, AI, and analytics to drive performance and value. Lead presales and commercial technology input across RFIs, RFPs and client solution proposals, partnering closely with Sales and Solution Leads. Own the scoping and high-level design of end-to-end technical solutions, working with Enterprise Architecture and Solutions Leads to ensure alignment with standards and platforms. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders (including Product Owners and Business Analysts) and act as a trusted advisor on technology choices. Contribute to governance, roadmap prioritisation and risk management, ensuring compliance with security, privacy and regulatory requirements. Drive continuous improvement by spotting gaps, inefficiencies and emerging tools, and promoting reuse of digital assets and platforms across the organisation. What you'll bring 8+ years in technology leadership, solutions architecture or technology consulting roles, ideally in complex, enterprise environments. Proven track record engaging senior stakeholders, including C-suite or divisional leaders, and shaping technology solutions in a presales or commercial context. Hands-on experience designing end-to-end technical solutions, including applications, integrations and digital platforms, with a solid grasp of integration patterns and enterprise architecture. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to assess ROI and articulate the business value of technology investments. Knowledge and experience of Agile delivery (SCRUM advantageous), alongside excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills. A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to understand user needs, challenge constructively and influence better outcomes.
