Electrical Technician Shifts - Downstream Due to continued expansion, we're recruiting an Electrical Technician to be part of our clients' multi-disciplined maintenance team responding to breakdowns & completing planned maintenance, working 12-hour days & nights. The Role:

  • Provide an operational and maintenance service to the department encompassing all aspects of engineering limited only by the competency of the team; this will include work of and with the opposite trade, working alone, working with contract resource, and working with production.
  • Work across-site as required to support the business objectives.
  • Carry out planned and unplanned maintenance activities on all aspects of plant and equipment on site.
  • Self organise, prioritise work requirements and manage accordingly.
  • Assist in developing maintenance practices and procedures to improve and maintain the plant and equipment.
  • Pick up work, book out spares and keep records of work carried out via CMMS and update team on issues.
  • Ensure all legalisation relating to all systems is met.
  • Have involvement in creating RA SWP & JTD’s.
  • Complete point of work risk assessments.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard liaising with all members of the engineering department as required.
  • Reduce/eliminate all forms of waste from the department operations.
  • Involvement in plant improvement projects.
Requirements:
  • A recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship (Preferably HNC but minimum ONC level or equivalent).
  • Electrical experience of heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Sound plant engineering knowledge and experience of industrial systems.
  • Experience of working under permit systems previously or has knowledge of how permit systems operate.
Salary: £44,943.31 Total package (inclusive of shift allowance). This is a Full time, Permanent position
