Job Description

Cognizant has an excellent opportunity for an AWS SecOps Engineer to be part of our Infrastructure services practice. This full-time AWS SecOps Engineer role is based in London and comes with a generous salary and benefits package. There would be no out-of-hours responsibilities for this role.

As an AWS SecOps Engineer, you will identify, research, and validate known and unknown exploits on our AWS Cloud. You will also investigate security incidents and provide and implement solutions to fix security issues, exploits and vulnerabilities.

In this AWS SecOps Engineer role, you can expect to:

  • Conduct Purple Team adversary simulations
  • Identify, research, and validate known and unknown exploits on our AWS Cloud
  • Investigate security incidents
  • Provide and implement solutions to fix security issues, exploits and vulnerabilities
  • Automate security controls and enhance auto-remediation solutions and help in define security monitoring use cases and develop them in monitoring tools after testing it

To apply for this role you will need knowledge of the tools and processes used to expose known and undocumented vulnerabilities in various systems. You'll also require knowledge of:

  • Vulnerability Assessment tools – Qualys, BitDefender
  • Exploitation frameworks – NIST, MITRE
  • Cloud security in AWS – GuardDuty, SecurityHub, Firewall Manager
  • OS Security, e.g Unix, RedHat Linux
