Manufacturing Planner & Expeditor The Production Manufacturing Planner & Expeditor organises and monitors the material flow in our manufacturing facilities. Reporting to the Master Production Scheduler, you will play a vital part in achieving the OTIF delivery in Manufacturing, chasing work orders and organising complex operations. Good communicator, you will be able to prioritise other colleagues’ workload and troubleshoot issues liaising with different teams at different level, paying high attention to detail. Key Activities / Decision Areas Prioritise PWOs on the shop floor, monitor their progress against the Manufacturing Schedule and ensure their OTIF delivery Report risks, concerns and/or delays to the relevant stakeholders, suggesting solutions and recovery plans Deal with scheduling conflicts by liaising with the relevant stakeholders Collaborate with the manufacturing management to ensure an optimum level of WIP and control/traceability of materials Monitor the Aged WIP, reporting issues and concerns to manufacturing management Update and control data within MRP system and production planning spreadsheets Monitor the readiness of PWOs to be issued to stores for picking Monitor shortages in conjunction with stores and production Release, amend and complete PWOs, updating the Planning System accordingly Troubleshoot manufacturing issues liaising with other teams Run the Planning Meetings in an efficient way, improving communications amongst functions and establish priorities/actions for colleagues Responsible for reporting the Planning Team KPIs Responsible for efficiently moving materials around the shop floor whilst maintaining accuracy of the data in the Production Schedule Essential role related knowledge, technical skills, qualifications and experience Ability to communicate clear written and verbal instructions to production based and office based support staff Ability to persuade and influence colleagues, seeking for their active collaboration Able to drive changes efficiently, involving colleagues from different functions Work in an organised methodical manner, paying attention to detail Experience in a manufacturing environment Moving items and some lifting is part of the role Experience in MS Excel and, generally, in the MS Office Suite Good Understanding of Product Structure (BOM, MLPL) Experience in ERP systems and/or Database (desirable) Benefits 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Annual leave buy and sell Death in Service - 3x salary Scottish Widows Pension Sickness Benefit (after successful completion of probationary period) Employee Assistance Programme Da Vinci employee portal that offers discounts, offers, and employee assistance programme
