The Company

Our client are an established, globally recognised, architectural practice with multiple offices across the UK. Their project portfolio is diverse and includes civic buildings, cultural, education buildings, places of worship, commercial projects and public projects. They are looking to hire an experienced Conservation Architect.

They are often trusted with some of the most prestigious projects in the UK and internationally due to their ability to understand the context of a building within it's local surroundings.

In addition to working on exceptional projects, the company have a real focus on staff wellbeing. They have several measures in place such as flexible start/finish times, 2 days working from home per week and many family-friendly policies.

The Opportunity

There is a rare opportunity for an experienced conservation architect to work on and lead several of the practices most significant conservation projects, as well as work towards being an Associate in the studio.

The company can offer the right person a range of opportunities for growth and to take on a range of responsibilities.

This type of opportunity in the Oxford/Oxfordshire region, to work on such high quality projects and have the opportunity to grow within a globally recognised practice is incredibly rare.

The Requirements

Senior Conservation architect role

  • Qualified Architect with a minimum of 3 years' experience

  • Buildings Conservation experience is essential, with proven technical competence undertaking condition surveys and specifying repair works

  • Ideally experience working on large scale projects in London or the South-East

  • AABC / RIBA SCA accreditation or equivalent experience with willingness to apply for accreditation in near future is essential

  • Proven experience working on at RIBA stage 4 & 5
