What you will be doing: You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Whether you have experience as a Healthcare Assistant or Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life. It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. You will have access to the Elysium Wellbeing team, which is on hand to keep you feeling great; be it a chat, or group activities. Shift times are: 35hour a week 7:30-2:30pm & 2:30pm- 9:30pm on a rota basis including weekends Where you will be working: Location: 1 Prideaux Rd, Eastbourne BN21 2NW You will be working at Ranworth House, a service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will offer support to people as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support. Things that you will have: Preferable experience with Epilepsy, Learning Disability and Autism Must be local or based at a commutable distance and time The ability to show strong empathy, a caring and compassionate nature Willing to support the resident with the personal hygiene People skills, communication skills and a good sense of humour Willingness to deal with the challenging behaviour A positive & professional approach Reliability, flexibility, hard work and honesty Team working ethos aligned to our company values * You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa's cannot be accepted.
