Job Summary

Seeking a Manufacturing Inspector to oversee and ensure product quality. This role involves identifying defects, enhancing productivity, reducing defect rates, and minimising re-work and waste.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• in product inspection and quality improvement activities.

• audits and inspections of subcontracted manufactured items.
• quality control, inspection, testing, and verification of components and assemblies.
• Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) support to the manufacturing department.
• system, process, and product performance, making recommendations for improvements.

Physical inspection

• with production departments to ensure consistent product quality.
• with stakeholders and suppliers regarding quality-related matters.

Key Skills/Experience

Essential:

• understanding of ISO 9001.
• experience in a mechanical/inspection environment.
• of quality control and assurance principles, quality improvement tools, metrology, and inspection techniques.
• in reading engineering drawings and understanding geometrical tolerancing.
• in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

• or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• or qualifications in MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and UT (Ultrasonic Testing).
• experience and knowledge of associated testing/inspection requirements.
• with material handling projects.
