  • Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, encouraging positive interactions and behaviors.
  • Participate in relevant training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Experience working with children with autism in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of the specific challenges and needs associated with autism.
  • Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or SEND support (e.g., CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Desirable:
  • Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions for supporting children with autism.
  • Experience using visual supports, social stories, and other autism-specific tools.
  • First Aid training.
