Job Opportunity: Maintenance Manager

My client is currently seeking a dynamic Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of maintenance operations, emphasizing safety, sustainability, and asset protection. If you're a proactive leader with a keen eye for detail and a passion for excellence, this could be the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement best practices for maintenance, focusing on operational performance and sustainable strategies for energy conservation.

* Collaborate with stakeholders on new initiatives and projects, evaluating their impact on maintenance activities.

* Drive improvement plans and KPIs while maintaining compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

* Coordinate with hotel management on refurbishment projects and preventative maintenance programs.

* Manage invoices and external provider costs, ensuring alignment with maintenance budgets.

* Provide expertise and support in maintenance budget discussions with the Operations Manager.

* Prepare monthly energy reports and attend relevant meetings to provide maintenance support and expertise.

Compliance and Project Management:

* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, conducting risk assessments as needed.

* Plan, manage, and coordinate maintenance projects, including budgeting and reporting on progress.

* Oversee small-scale projects and equipment lifecycle works, identifying potential deficiencies and proposing capital expenditure solutions.

Recruitment & Personnel:

* Recruit, supervise, and train maintenance team members, ensuring high performance and autonomy.

* Manage team rota and payroll submissions, fostering a culture of continuous development.

* Set department objectives/KPIs, assess ongoing performance, and provide technical support as needed.

Requirements:

* Formal Qualification in Mechanical, HVAC, or Electrical engineering, or equivalent operational experience.

* Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.

* Proficiency in Microsoft tools & Outlook, with advanced knowledge preferred.

* Minimum 3 years of management experience, preferably in a similar role.

* Health & Safety trained, with the ability to conduct and write risk assessments.

* Experience in energy management and budget planning, including CAPEX & OPEX cost controls.

* Proven track record in project management.
