As Head of Estates, you will be an integral part of the NCG and college Estates Team.
In this role you will be responsible for the development and delivery of an Estates strategic plan and be practised in delivery of excellent services to a large and complex organisation. You will have a track record of leading change and performance improvement across the full range of estates options and will have proven experience of motivating and developing in-house teams. In addition, you will have experience of successfully managing the direct delivery of facilities management and associated contracts delivered by external partners and providers.

The role calls for a strong leader, able to demonstrate personal engagement and leadership in planning and delivering key objectives. Carlisle College is a further education college serving the post-16 education and training needs of Carlisle and the surrounding area. Located in the city centre, we’ve been here since 1954 and every year we help more than 2,700 students take their next steps towards their future.
We offer an extensive range of vocational and academic subjects with over 100 courses available from entry level through to degrees, professional qualifications and community programmes. We offer full time and part time courses, including short courses and distance learning.
We provide students with facilities that reflect those found in industry, combined with teaching staff who are experts in their fields and have real life industry experience – a perfect combination that allows our students to realise their career ambitions. We’ve invested over £30 million in our city-centre campus, including a £5.3 million digital and creative arts complex and a £1 million Advanced Manufacturing Centre. Our world class facilities include state-of the-art equipment and resources, which significantly expands our modern campus into a real learning community. At Carlisle College we have a long and proud history of working with local businesses and industry, to help meet skills and development needs via our Apprenticeship programmes. We currently work with over 350 employers and over 700 apprentices in the local area.
