PACKAGING TECHNOLOGIST

We are working with one of Britain's largest FMCG brands which are a well-known household name in the Food industry.

They are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Packaging Technologiest to join their dynamic team. This role is pivotal in driving continuous improvements and ensuring our packaging solutions meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and sustainability.

Role Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer technical support to drive continuous improvements in packaging.
  • Establish packaging material specifications as well as advice on packaging solutions for a variety of products.
  • Ensure all systems and departments are kept up-to-date with packaging developments.
  • Execute projects within the Packaging team on a day-to-day basis.
  • Leverage internal and external expertise to deliver effective packaging development
  • Complete technical packaging documents for new products and processes for commercial scale-up, including raw materials, production line layout, and finished product specifications.
  • Serve as the key contact for product changes related to packaging and ensure delivery of these changes across multiple sites.

About you:

  • Experience in Packaging/Engineering discipline.
  • Strong analytical and IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft packages, SAP, Cape.
  • Minimum 2 years of packaging experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Experience with Printed Flexibles, Cartons, Tins, Corrugated, and Thermoformed packaging components is desirable.
  • Knowledge of current environmental trends in packaging and OPRL rules.
  • Current Clean Driving Licence.
