Director in Development Management

We’re looking for a Director of Engineering who expects more from their career.
It’s a chance to extend and improve dunnhumby’s Engineering team. Engineering leadership of our Platform function, where we are developing a high-caliber platform functionality to drive better product strategies.
# Opportunity to set the future vision of the engineering function in dunnhumby.
Work with market and product colleagues to identify business development opportunities and ensure efficient business value delivery.
An engineering authority, with a deep understanding of what great software looks like, how to scale it, and when to revisit architectural decisions.
Partner with the Global Head of Engineering and technology leadership teams to evaluate opportunities for improvement and redefine excellence in software engineering.
Drive the health and happiness of the engineering organization through hiring, people development, and organization structure planning.
Partner with other Directors of Engineering to enhance the tech culture and processes.
Experience leading a large agile engineering team. You should have a deep understanding of agile principles and practices, and be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with your team members.
You should be able to make informed decisions about the technologies that are used, and you should also be able to design and implement scalable and resilient software architectures.
With people at the heart of every decision we make, you should have strong experience in people management.
Project management experience in managing the development of software projects. Ability to design and implement solutions that leverage Microsoft's technology stack.
Passionate about using agile and an advocate of test-driven development methodologies and has the ability to lead and coach a team in the use of these methodologies.
Deep understanding of software architecture principles and practices.
Experience with Microsoft technologies.
