HGV Class 1 Driver (Catering Equipment Delivery)Position Overview: We are seeking experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our agency for adhoc shift assignments. As a driver, you will be responsible for delivering catering equipment to various locations, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. This position offers flexibility with shift schedules, allowing you to balance work with your personal commitments. Key Responsibilities:Safely operate and drive HGV Class 1 vehicles to transport catering equipment to designated locations.Load and unload catering equipment using appropriate lifting and securing techniques.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations. Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while on the road. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents.Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues that may arise.Provide exceptional customer service by delivering goods in a professional and courteous manner. Requirements: Valid HGV Class 1 driving license with a clean driving record.Previous experience as an HGV Class 1 driver, preferably in the transportation of catering equipment or similar goods.Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing the operation of HGV vehicles. Ability to operate manual and automatic transmissions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
