About the Role: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated 3D Machine Control Specialist to join our team at HS2, bringing expertise in heavy plant operations and advanced machine control systems. This role is key to ensuring precision and efficiency across our earthworks and construction projects. Key Responsibilities: Operate and manage 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment. Set up, calibrate, and maintain machine control systems to ensure accuracy. Convert and upload design files into machine control platforms. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain optimal functionality. Collaborate closely with surveyors and engineers to ensure accurate execution of designs. Deliver training and ongoing support to plant operators on 3D machine control usage. Maintain and update machine control software and hardware as needed. Assist in the creation of 3D models and design files for machine control applications. Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Document and report system performance, issues, and resolutions. Qualifications & Experience: Essential: Proven experience operating 3D machine control systems on heavy plant equipment. Proficiency in platforms such as Trimble, Topcon, or Leica. Strong understanding of construction and earthworks processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills, with the ability to train and support others. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites. Good level of written and spoken English. Desirable: Degree or certification in surveying, engineering, or a related discipline. Experience working with multiple machine control systems and software. Membership with an accredited professional body.
