The School and Role

We are currently seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher to cover maternity leave at a vibrant secondary school in Sheldon. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching History and Geography, inspiring students to explore and understand the world around them. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive faculty and contribute to the academic and personal development of young learners. You will be joining a dynamic and inclusive Secondary School who pride themselves on having a supportive school environment with opportunities for professional development. Plan and deliver engaging lessons in History and Geography to secondary school students.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and academic success.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies and resources.
Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and school events.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching History and Geography at the secondary level.
Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system. (Daily rate is subject to your scale rate, experience in role and qualifications which will be discussed at the point of registration.)
