Meraki Talent are working with a global Fintech/FX client that are looking for a VP of Compliance to join their innovative and dynamic team in London.
Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our client operates within regulatory frameworks and maintains the highest standards of compliance. You will be responsible for developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and overseeing regulatory reporting. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on compliance-related matters and lead a team of compliance professionals.
Key Responsibilities:


Develop and implement comprehensive compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to AML, KYC, and GDPR.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
Oversee regulatory reporting requirements and ensure timely and accurate submission of reports to relevant authorities.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends, and advise senior management on potential impacts to the business.
Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure departmental goals are met.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, including Legal, Risk Management, and Operations, to address compliance-related issues and implement solutions.
Serve as a primary point of contact for regulatory inquiries and examinations, and coordinate responses as necessary.
Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 15 years of experience in compliance roles within the financial services industry, with a focus on Fintech/FX.
Strong understanding of relevant regulatory requirements, including but not limited to SEC, CFTC, FINRA, and FCA regulations.
Proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs and policies.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Professional certification (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, CCEP) preferred.
