The Senior Electronic Design Engineer (Technology) role is a key part of the Cross-Functional Technology team that drives innovation in inkjet and vision systems. The technology team is responsible for developing new concepts and progressing them sufficiently to be included in new products. This is an exciting role empowering the successful applicant to create innovative solutions to customer problems as well as investigate opportunities to enhance current inkjet products. This position is based in Huntingdon UK and is a full-time on-site role.

The responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Creation of innovative technical concepts and solutions to solve customers needs or to meet internal design requirements.
  • Design of Electronics, Firmware and Software to support the development of new Technologies.
  • Root cause analysis and resolution of complex multi-domain issues of prototype systems.
  • Documentation of designs and test results for hand over to new product development

The requirements of the job include:

  • Engineering degree or relevant experience.
  • Significant Electronic Design experience.
  • Analogue electronic design (discrete and interfacing to sensors, transducers)
  • Digital electronic design (microcontroller, microprocessor, CPLD, FPGA)
  • Design verification and functional test software development (C/C++, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, simple GUI).
  • Self-starter, self-motivated with a sense of urgency and who is motivated by achievement
  • Problem solving with data driven analysis and conclusion
  • Able to adequately express technical matters orally and in writing
  • Teamwork within multi-functional technology team.

It would be a benefit if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Practical understanding of electrostatics and fluid systems
