Darcy House Care Home is looking to appoint a Laundry Assistant. Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications. Our brand-new, luxury care home is located in the beautiful town of Matlock in Derbyshire. We provide personalised Residential, Nursing, Dementia, Palliative & Nursing care for 78-residents. As Laundry Assistant, you will provide an efficient and effective laundry service that fully meets the needs of residents, along with high standards set to work in a care home. Laundry Assistant Contract £11.44 per hour. Contracted to 35 / 40-hours per week. 5.6 weeks annual leave (Full-time) Pension. Onsite parking. Uniform provided. DBS. Responsibilities Provide high quality laundry service for all linen and resident's personal clothing Ensure the laundry is cleaned to a high standard in compliance with specific guidelines and schedules Respect and always maintain confidentiality of resident's personal information Understand and comply with all statutory and legal requirements, ie. Health & Safety, COSHH To check that all residents personal clothing and items are individually labelled, maintained in good repair, and returned to the correct resident All equipment used is in full, safe working order Always be alert and use your own initiative, spot clean any spillages as they occur Be an active and helpful member of the team, contribute to staff meetings, attend training sessions, and ensure the care home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
