Under the direction of the Project Manager, the Millwright Supervisor will primarily be responsible to oversee and assist in the installation of various grain drying and material handling equipment applications, ensuring the work is being performed in accordance with established project timelines and standards. This position will perform and learn various forms of millwright and general labour as part of a team that focuses on safety, quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will enjoy learning and be receptive to on-the-job training and instruction. The successful candidate is highly motivated, reliable and will take pride in producing a high quality finished product.
Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri; Shift days and times may vary depending on departmental and/or seasonal demands; Direct and perform various forms of labour to assist in the successful completion of construction projects from start to finish.
Types of tasks to be performed include, but are not limited to, installation of bucket elevators, conveyors, spouting, handling and drying equipment, dismantling of existing equipment, custom fabrication, repairs, and preventative maintenance. Such tasks will be performed on a variety of job sites, including new builds, as well as additions to existing structures.
Complete projects within a budget, meeting completion dates as set out in the project scope.
Act as a technical consultant in field of expertise, including troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment issues, performing repairs and maintenance.
Perform hoisting and rigging tasks in a safe and productive manner.
Coordinate and communicate with Project Manager and other departments, as necessary, to ensure fulfillment of all millwright requirements.
Complete required reports/administrative work immediately/as required throughout shift.
Assist in facilitating orientation and hands on-training with new staff, as applicable.
Troubleshoot areas of concern, identify and collaborate with Project Manager for efficiency improvements and/or quality of work/products.
Work in compliance with all administrative and health and safety policies and procedures, as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies, including but not limited to, standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery.
Report process deficiencies and any administrative or health and safety policy or procedural infractions, as per legislative requirements and as outlined in Company policies, to your direct reporting manager, or other designate as applicable, for review.
Valid Ontario driver’s license and means of daily/reliable transportation to and from our main location in Dover Centre (A, AZ or DZ license not required but considered an asset).
Provide leadership to reporting employees through effective communication, coaching, training and development.
Ability to work in a quality, results driven and fast paced work environment.

Ability to work in any outdoor work environments (i.e., Willingness to travel is required. Jobs are local to the Chatham-Kent area, as well as throughout Southwestern Ontario. Occasional overnight travel should be expected and can vary based on market demands between approximately 8%, upwards of 40% in a calendar year. Workers typically work Monday to Friday, however, some weekends may be included in regular work hours or overnight travel.
Shift days and times may vary depending on departmental and/or seasonal demands. Participate in compulsory training as deemed necessary for the role.
Millwright trade certification program completion an asset (must provide proof).
Experience with the installation and maintenance of material handling equipment and grain storage systems, as well as custom fabrication (or transferable skills and abilities from work experience in a similar construction environment).

Valid training certifications are considered an asset and any related previous work experience should be highlighted; Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, Aerial Lift, Elevated Work Platforms, Hoisting and Rigging, Confined Space, Lift Truck, etc.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Strong and effective verbal and listening communication skills, with proficiency in English.
Valid First Aid and CPR certification an asset.
