For us to succeed in our mission to reach £30m in revenue over the next 5 years, we're seeking an experienced Sales and Bid Manager who will bring their construction industry knowledge and play a pivotal role in expanding our sales pipeline and driving growth. In addition to overseeing bid management responsibilities, you'll take on a broader role in sales management, leveraging your industry expertise to meet and exceed targets.

Your responsibilities will include proactively generating and qualifying leads, cultivating relationships with prospects, and spearheading the bid writing process. Additionally, you'll manage the sales pipeline through our CRM system, providing strategic insights and generating reports to inform decision-making.

Working closely with the Marketing team, you'll collaborate on initiatives to drive new business leads and enhance brand visibility. You'll also engage in market research to identify upcoming project opportunities and strategically position our services in the market. As a key member of the sales team, you'll attend internal and external meetings, fostering relationships with key stakeholders and driving business growth.

In addition to your sales management responsibilities, you'll contribute to the development of our sales strategy, working closely with senior leadership to align sales initiatives with overarching business objectives. Your ability to multitask and adapt to evolving priorities will be essential as you support various projects across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of meeting targets in a pre-construction sales environment, along with strong bid writing skills and experience managing CRM systems. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills are a must, as is the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment. Prior estimating experience and proficiency in MS Office, Slack, Monday.Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets.
Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to consistently meet and exceed sales objectives.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and relationship building.
Manage day-to-day business development activities, including seeking quality leads, tender opportunities, and managing the bid process.
Collaborate with Marketing to advocate the brand and extend reach through booking CPDs.
Conduct market research to identify current and upcoming project opportunities, enabling proactive engagement with potential clients.
Partner with the Senior Estimator to prioritize projects for estimation and close sales.
Attend internal and external meetings with key stakeholders to represent the sales function. Regularly update CRM with relevant sales data and analyze trends to generate reports for strategic decision-making.
Contribute to the development and execution of the sales strategy, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Collaborate across the business, both internally and externally, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.

Experience in bid writing.
Proficiency in sales pipeline management.
Excellent organisational skills with a focus on CRM administration.
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to achieve sales targets.
Proactive and hands-on approach to sales.
Flexibility to contribute to various projects across the business.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Slack, Monday.com, and CRMs (we use Procore).
