The Senior Quality Specialist plays a crucial role in Holtec Britain's nuclear power projects, providing support throughout all project phases, with a primary focus on engineering design. This role involves effective communication and responsibility for shaping and managing the development and deployment of SMR quality assurance arrangements. The goal is to ensure compliance with nuclear design codes, regulatory requirements, best practices, configuration control, and achieving quality excellence. Key responsibilities include: Assisting the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager in reinforcing, monitoring, and sustaining Quality standards, including policies on the scope and retention requirements of QA documentation. Conducting internal surveillances of internal processes to ensure adherence to Holtec's Quality Assurance Program. Reviewing specifications, procedures, and other documentation to confirm compliance with technical QA requirements. Providing oversight at vendor facilities to verify compliance with procurement documents and quality assurance requirements. Supporting the development and management of the quality assurance program, quality manuals, implementation plans, and key performance measures to meet design code and regulatory requirements. Assisting in the development and management of programs, processes, governance, and systems. Interpreting stakeholder and design code requirements and ensuring the application of appropriate and effective quality program and design code processes, focusing on configuration control. Coaching and assisting management and their teams in understanding and implementing quality assurance and design code requirements. Establishing strong relationships with functions, internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and industry bodies. Developing processes, procedures, and facilitating process mapping and problem-solving activities and workshops. Having experience in creating and reviewing documents with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Providing support to certification programs.This position requires to complete Holtec's Quality Indoctrination within one month of joining and Holtec's OJT training within six months of joining. Minimum Requirements: Degree qualified in Engineering, Science or related discipline. Desirable experience in the nuclear industry and in ASME design code. Able to work under own initiative and as part of a team. Able to communicate with impact and experience of managing and influencing interfaces with engineering disciplines with minimal supervision. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Ability to learn fast, maintain quality and efficiency, apply acquired knowledge. Strong collaboration skills. Excellent analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills. Confident in seeking support where required. Questioning attitude. Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810
