About The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our multi-discipline medical team. You will be a highly valued member of our team bringing your expertise and skills in Gastroenterology and Endoscopic procedures. You’ll provide high quality gastrointestinal service for the population of Birmingham in a clean and modern hospital. As a Practice Plus Group Consultant you will have access to great facilities in a well-structured and relaxed environment. As part of our professional, friendly and compassionate team you will do everything you can to ensure the patient’s treatment is of the highest standard. Our focus at all times will be on ensuring that our patients receive high quality treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings. What you'll be doing In this role you will be responsible for delivering diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures to referred NHS and private patients. You will be expected to deliver upper and lower day case gastroenterology services, principally carried out under local anaesthesia or without sedation. Everything we do is focused on providing a high standard of safe and effective patient care. Our facilities will be modern, employing the latest technology with friendly and professional staff. We have strong control processes to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and above all, we’re passionate about giving our patients the best possible care and helping them feel better, faster What we’ll look for in you You will have full and specialist GMC registration as well as evidence of subspecialty training. In addition you will have experience of working in a specialist department treating upper and lower gastrointestinal conditions and the ability to offer an expert opinion on a range of problems in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantial experience in the speciality.
