We’re currently recruiting an Automatic Door Engineer (Service Engineer) for a globally successful Entrance Systems company. As part of this role, you will visit clients across the local region. You will service and repair a range of automatic and manual doors, entrance equipment, rollers, sectional doors, and various other products from the manufacturers’ ranges. The role does involve an on-call rota (between 1 in 4 and 1 in 8, subject to staffing levels), you will receive a standby payment and overtime opportunities are available Our client commits to ensuring you always have the best support, with a fully equipped van (tools provided). You will be given regular training in order to improve your skill set and a personal development programme which offers the opportunity for professional and career development within the business. Duties include:

  • To maintain, service and repair door and security systems, in accordance to relevant industry standards, current health and safety guidelines and follow safe working practices.
  • Work on a wide range of manufacturers products and equipment, both electronically and mechanically. Complete fault finding, diagnosis and accurate recommendation for corrective actions.
  • Using Company/Customer APP’s, Portals, IT systems and IT devices to complete work order management processes.
  • To liaise with internal teams and external customers to deliver exceptional service to meet or exceed Company and Customer SLA/KPI’s.
  • Work a reasonable amount of overtime in order to effectively conduct your duties, meet Customer demand and business needs. This will include being part of a rolling out of hours call out rota.
Experience required includes: * Previously worked in the automatic door sector with the ability to maintain and service either automatic doors, sectional and roller doors or other products within the sector. Consideration may given to those from the automatic gate and barrier industry. * BSEN16005
  • IT literate with the ability to use tablet, phone or app based reporting and customer portals.
  • Have the flexibility to cover on call arrangements as required
  • Have a full UK driving licence
