An opportunity has arisen for Senior Engineer – Mechanical Development and Test Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. Purpose of the role is to support the coordination of the diverse range of test and development activities within WAE including test preparation, planning, logistics and test support activities for the heavy industry. As a senior role the candidate will assist engineers and the head of department in generating test results, consistently to enable key decision making within projects.
Manging and updating test procedures for the Heavy industry and Rail
# Will oversee the development of test equipment and test rigs in order to perform tests
# Test Preparation, Instrumentation, Supplier Facility Planning, and Test Logistics including the ordering of parts where required
# Managing Systems Preparation and Commissioning of Hardware at test locations
# Supporting Electrical Systems and Software teams as required
# Review project Design Verification Plans and supporting PM’s and Systems Engineering in creating accurate test plans
# Local management of Instrumentation and data management recording as required
# Will engage with Global Test Facilities
# Mechanical Engineering graduate or experience in a similar industry
Test & Development Experience
Experience of data acquisition and control software (Ideally System monitor Atlas, IPEmotion)
Experience of 3D CAD and PML software (ideally NX and Team centre)
Training to add to your existing skills and accelerate your career
