The role & what you take care of:

As a Lawyer and key member of Magnas team of legal professionals, you will have the opportunity to develop your career, grow your expertise, and undertake professional development. From day one, you will be encouraged, challenged, supported, and listened to. You will take ownership of a mixed caseload to develop your skills and collaborate with various teams, enabling us to meet our legal and statutory obligations. Additionally, you will support the Senior Lawyer in delivering high-quality legal services to ensure we fulfil these obligations.

  • Provide proactive, professional support, while managing a wide range of non-contentious housing management matters and contentious landlord and tenant issues, including disrepair, anti-social behaviour, possession, injunctions, and court applications.
  • Offer advice and support on general commercial matters, compliance, and contracts.
  • Develop a good understanding of the business and key stakeholder contacts, delivering accurate and timely advice on various legal areas.
  • Line manage the Legal Administrator to ensure an effective and efficient service.

What you need to be successful:?

  • Demonstrable legal experience in a private law firm or in-house environment.
  • A qualified solicitor with a current Practising Certificate.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines using highly effective organisational skills.
  • Good critical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Collaborative team working enabling all team members to contribute effectively.
  • Experience of managing, supervising, and developing colleagues.
