Graduate Laboratory Chemist

RPS is looking for an ExtractionChemist to join our Laboratory Team based in Bedford . This position isideally suited to a recent Graduate in Chemistry (or closely related subject)and will build your experience of working in a fast-paced, commerciallaboratory environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Salary starts at £21,255 and, as partof the Extraction Development scheme you can see your salary rise throughregular performance reviews. 
Working under a Senior AnalyticalChemist, you will manage your own workload and collaborate closely withcolleagues in a small team to ensure that work is completed on time and to therequired standards of quality.
Follow established quality procedures toperform various types of sample extraction and preparation.
Work as part of a team to ensure that allother routine laboratory tasks are completed to ensure that the Laboratoryoperates smoothly.
Handling chemicals and solvents
Handling of foods, including nuts
Knowledge of basic laboratory skills andtechniques, including use of pipettes, balances, syringes, titrations,dilutions etc.
Understanding of Quality Control/QualityAssurance processes and their importance within a laboratory environment.
