Global Procurement Category Director Tech & IT
Full-time ABOUT THIS JOB: This position is to develop and implement Global Category and sub-category strategies in collaboration with SVP Procurement, CTO Direct Reports and business stakeholders. It will ensure a robust approach to supplier management, establish value creation targets and supplier performance, develop innovation programs, manage supplier risks and conduct regular business reviews. This position will lead proactive sourcing projects, specification definition and demand management and will manage supplier performance and innovation activities. Oversee research and data analysis for category
Sell category sourcing strategy to senior stakeholders
Ensure business cases are created as and when required
Contract Development:
Communicate contract to relevant stakeholders
Conduct regular performance reviews with preferred suppliers
Develop and implement contract KPI’s
Contract Lifecycle Management
Ensure compliance (i.e. restricted party screening, financial checks, conflict of interest checks, forced labour, embargoed countries, etc.)
Ensure local compliance to Global contracts
Coach junior team members
Deploy resources effectively to manage projects and tasks
Measure individual performance and provide timely and open feedback
Educated to degree level in technical/ Business Administration or related subjects or relevant work experience
~7+ years work experience in a global procurement role with a focus on relevant categories
~ Understanding of key sourcing processes and tools as well as contractual and legal aspects
~ Strong preference for Professional Procurement Qualifications
~ Proven financial and business acumen and capability in negotiation, change management and stakeholder management
