Creative Assistant
Job Description

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Promotion of events and workshops through social media, website, posters, emails and
other channels
• Assist with record keeping, gathering data/evidence and writing reports
• Organising set up, clean and tidy venue for events
• Helping to establishing contacts with local artists, businesses and other local organisations and promoting the Wee School Art Space as a venue, meeting space, exhibition space etc
locally.
• Assisting artists and the project coordinator with the delivery of workshops when required
• Assisting with other duties as required, as requested by the project coordinator, management committee or event/workshop artists/producers
• Undertake training as required
• Be prepared to work occasional evenings and weekends
• Attend partner events and meetings from time to time as requested by Project Coordinator and Management committee
You will be required to work independently, either from home or at the Wee School Art Space, Henrietta Street, Girvan and report / bring any queries to the CRAG management committee once every two weeks.

Experience and Skills
• Friendly personality, ability to engage with members of the public
• Provan record of experience promoting charity / community events and activities through social media etc, recording evidence for funders and undertaking evaluation
• Ability to design successful marketing materials
• Ability to work independently on own initiative and also as part of a team
• A degree or Higher Education in a relevant subject is desirable although not essential
• Experience of Charity/Arts Admin work and Assisting with Creative Workshops is an advantage

Working Hours
The working hours are 10 hours per week. Rate of Pay £12/hr
Days / times may vary week to week depending on activities / events / requirements of Crag Board and Project Coordinator
The position is funded for 10 months initially and will continue pending further funding.
